You can rise against this unprecedented challenge.
business owners

The year 2020 was difficult for everyone, including governments, businesses, and families around the world. From canceled travel plans to sudden stay-at-home orders and remote work, the world as we have known it changed. On top of this, many business owners and entrepreneurs had the rug pulled out from under them and lost the ability to make money. Information became quickly scarce – those who are informed were empowered to take meaningful actions and decisions for themselves and their businesses. To survive, entrepreneurs had to find new ways to safely sell their products and services to customers. However, some businesses had a hard time keeping up with the changes brought by COVID-19, while others got creative, innovative, and found new ways to operate their business.

Global Entrepreneur was born as the result of the COVID-19 lockdown in the spring of 2020. The goal is to inform the African diaspora small business community, the most vulnerable minority business community, about Federal, State, and local government assistance programs and resources available to help the minority business owners to survive the lockdown. We engaged in webinars using languages other than English to help these vulnerable business communities navigate the CARES Act or other funding provided by SBA, as well as to foster within the community the best business practices, encourage a spirit of private initiatives, innovation, and entrepreneurship through media and podcasting.

Our ICE approach “Information – Communication – Education” creates trust between Global Entrepreneur and the business communities we serve. Our technical assistance in preparing and assembling business documents, such as tax documents, bank statements, profit and loss statements, and business plans, has helped more than 150 Small Businesses to be approved for the PPP and EILD loans.

Our Mission

Global Entrepreneur is committed to foster within the diaspora community a spirit of
